Star Wars – The Clone Wars é uma animação que continuará a história iniciada nos curtas animados criados por Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack) para o Cartoon Network, que sairá primeiro no cinema antes de migrar para a TV.

A estréia no Brasil que foi prevista para o dia 29 de agosto, agora foi antecipada,e deve chegar aos cinemas no dia 15 de agosto. O filme mostra a historia da guerra dos clones, que acontece entre os longas metragens O Ataque dos Clones e A Vingança dos Sith, a animação de longa metragem produzida pela Warner Bros é protagonizada por alguns dos principais personagens da história, como Anakin Skywarlker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mestre Yoda, Mace Windu, Palpatine, Padmé Amidala e os robôs C-3PO e R2-D2.
Depois do lançamento nos cinemas, ‘Clone Wars’ ganhará uma série fixa no Cartoon Network, ainda que a data de estréia não esteja definida.
