Se você trabalha com programas de CAD ou 3D, e até mesmo o Photoshop, um mouse de precisão 3D pode ser muito útil. A 3Dconnexion, uma empresa da Logitech, lançou o SpaceNavigator, com este dispositivo você pode navegar por 6 eixos em um ambiente 3D.

O SpaceNavigator também tem os botões tradicionais de um mouse comum, que podem ser programados e é compatível com Windows, OS X e Linux. O SpaceNavigator pode ser usado em mais de 100 programas de design e modelagem 3D, como por exemplo o AutoCAD, 3D Studio Max e Maya entre outros. Ele tem um sensor óptico muito sensível que possibilita ajuste de velocidade, o objetivo deste controle não é substituir o seu mouse, e sim ser usado junto com ele. O SpaceNavigator dá a possibilidade de puxar, rodar, empurrar, torcer e outras inúmeras possibilidades de movimentos que consiga imaginar em um ambiente tridimensional virtual.

O SpaceNavigator é basicamente uma espécie de joystick fixado em uma base de aço apresentando dois botões programáveis na lateral e a sua ligação é feita através de uma porta USB livre.
