“Kung Fu Panda” vence Annie Awards, indicador para o Oscar

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – “Kung Fu Panda” ganhou o prêmio de melhor animação na 36a edição do Annie Awards, um importante indicador para o Oscar, que será entregue este mês.

A animação da Dreamworks dominou a cerimônia em Los Angeles, ganhando o prêmio mais importante da noite e destacando-se em relação a concorrentes de peso, como “Wall-E” e “Valsa com Bashir”.

Ao todo, “Kung Fu Panda” levou 10 estatuetas, quebrando o recorde do ano passado, que foi de nove estatuetas para “Ratatouille”.

Além disso, “Secrets of the Furious Love”, curta-metragem de 24 minutos que aparece no DVD de “Kung Fu Panda”, levou quatro prêmios nas categorias de curta-metragens. O jogo inspirado em “Kung Fu Panda” também levou o prêmio de melhor video game.

Desde que a Academia de Artes e Ciências Cinematográficas, responsável pelo Oscar, criou a categoria de melhor animação, em 2001, os prêmios Annie se tornaram um bom termômetro de quem será o ganhador no prêmio mais importante do cinema.

Em todos os anos desde então o vencedor do prêmio Annie foi o mesmo vencedor do Oscar, exceto há dois anos, quando Annie premiou “Carros” e o Oscar escolheu “Happy Feet”.
